When something disrupts your organization, it is imperative that you assess the impact on all of the organization's assets and operations. If you have already used eBRP Toolkit to model the organizational, process, technology and supplier dependencies and interdependencies within your organization, CommandCentre can use that modeling information to help you systematically determine the disruption's impact.

But direct damage may only be the beginning. For example, if a facility has to be evacuated, CommandCentre can do an assessment of all the processes which are dependent on that facility, and a secondary assessment of all the other downstream processes that may be impacted by their disruption. If the impacted facility houses a data center, CommandCentre can assess the IT Services which rely on its components, and perform a secondary assessment of the business processes that may be impacted because they rely on those IT Services.

Attempting to perform such a thorough assessment manually could take hours or even days. Because CommandCentre has access to Toolkit's extensive dependency modeling knowledgebase, it can identify the impact on every aspect of the organization (not just the direct impacts) in minutes.

Virtual Emergency Operations Centre

When your business is disrupted, having plans in place is not enough to assure your organization will be able to recover efficiently or effectively.

In a crisis or disruption, time is valuable. Searching through plan documents looking for information wastes valuable time. Scouring lists of things, in search of detailed facts, is not how to effectively manage an incident.

The moment you create an incident ticket and indicate what has been compromised, CommandCentre generates an action plan. Based on the assets affected, the processes they impact and the criticality of each impacted asset, CommandCentre flags which plans to activate, which teams to notify and what procedures to act upon.

Once plans and recovery teams are activated, CommandCentre tracks the status of plan procedure completion, resource allocations, issue escalation and resolutions, and provides status reporting. Incident Management teams can identify the plan procedures that are on the critical path and focus resources on those tasks to ensure that plan execution meets their recovery time objectives (RTO).

Automated notification integrated with the CommandCentre allows the Incident Management team to poll the responders to identify resource availability.
